About SuperCleanQ

The consortium which consisted of 12 European partners secured 1,916,300 Euros of EU funding from the European Union's Seventh Framework Programme (FP7/2007-2013) for development of processes and quality procedures for the valorisation of recycled plastics for food contact applications.

These companies included Fraunhofer Institute for Chemical Technology ICT, S+S Separation and Sorting Technology and Extricom GMBH from Germany, Smithers Rapra, The University of Exeter and the British Plastics Federation from the UK, Dentis SRL, Aliplast SPA and Assocomaplast from Italy, MOS from the Netherlands and EuPC and CEN/NEN from Belgium.

 

A Framework 7 Project

This project received funding from the European Union's Seventh Framework Programme for research, technological development and demonstration.

Project Objectives

The advancements over the current state of the art were expected to be:

  • A post-market challenge test for validation of recycled food contact materials with 100% reliability
